What you send us
The service request form collects your name, email, phone number, contact preference, vehicle details, symptoms, location, preferred date and any photos you choose to attach. You can provide an approximate location first and confirm the address directly with Sam.
How the information is used
Request details are stored in the website's workshop system to review your enquiry, prepare an estimate, arrange an appointment and keep track of the work. Customer files also keep current contact details, private notes and a separate record for each vehicle. Previous interventions retain the details recorded for that visit. The form does not take payment or automatically confirm an appointment.
Workshop access requires sign-in and is limited to the site owner and authorized workshop accounts. Customer photos and internal workshop notes are not included on the tracking page.
Your private tracking link
The link shown after submission gives access to the request reference, vehicle, service, city, status, estimate and appointment details. The page may also show estimate line items, customer responses and the work report. Anyone with that full link can view those details and respond to an estimate. Keep it private. Your email, phone, exact location, photographs and internal notes are not shown there.
Your service space
My service groups the private tracking links you add. By default, links are saved for the current browser tab session. If you choose Remember on this device, they are kept in that browser until you remove them or clear its stored data. Anyone with access to that browser can open remembered requests. This does not create an account or sync links between devices. Removing a saved link does not delete the workshop record.
Reminders and marketing
Opting in to service reminders and offers is optional. Ask Sam to update your preference at any time. A campaign identifier may be saved with your enquiry if you arrive through a campaign link.
Maps and directions
When an authorized workshop user looks up your address, it is sent to the BC Address Geocoder. The public service-area map and workshop map use OpenStreetMap tiles, loaded when the map is viewed. Tile requests identify the website origin and map area; customer names and notes are not included. Google Maps receives the destination when directions or the optional Google map are opened. These services apply their own privacy practices.
Photos and technical information
Attach only relevant vehicle photos. Avoid showing people, identity documents or information you do not want to share with the workshop. This website also uses a daily hashed network identifier to limit repeated form submissions.
There are no advertising trackers in this website. The hosting service manages sign-in and site access. Opening Facebook, Messenger, your email app or your phone app takes you to another service with its own privacy practices.
Access, corrections and deletion
Contact slmobilemechanic@hotmail.com with your request reference to ask about your information, request a correction or request deletion. Workshop records may also be needed for an ongoing service or applicable record-keeping requirements.
